I've caught the love bug (cue the Jonas Brothers), and I've decided to share the love with A Celebration of Hearts... a way for me to show my appreciation of those who have hearted my Etsy shop, Dirt Road South.
Etsy is such a wonderful community! I've met a lot of great people there... people I've come to know as friends. I want to give something back to them and let them know I appreciate them and their hearts! I've come up with a way to celebrate my hearts by featuring the shops that have hearted me right here. To start off the celebration, I'd like to introduce a group of talented folks I met on the thread that refuses to die.
What do you get when you start a thread called Thread killers unite? A neverending thread that touches on every possible subject in any given day because a bunch of thread killers have to have the last word! Felt on the Fly started this little thread in mid-January out of her frustration stemming from a spree of thread homicides that begin with a mere click of the "post" button. The post that started it all...
Dontcha just feel downright stupid when you jump into a thread that's been going along nicely, and then, all of sudden, everybody's gone????? What's up with that?Ever happen to you?

Why yes, Felt... yes it has. And because we've all been there, we felt a certain kinship. We kept returning until it became somewhat of a sickness. Well, it was either that or the fact that we had grown so proud of our threadkilling skills we each thought we had to get the very last word in. To date, this thread now includes 646 pages containing 6,459 posts. I certainly don't think it's going to die any time soon.
Since some of the regular posters have given me their heart (aaawwww), I'd like to give a little something back to them. So without further ado, let the celebration begin!
Felt on the Fly
Welcome to Felt on the Fly where you will find abundant evidence of Janet's passion for felted wool. She's very fussy about the wool she chooses for a project and the wool she chooses to include in a kit. Fabulous texture, gorgeous colors, blended with ribbon, floss and embellishments. . . oh, it makes her heart beat a little faster, and mine too! Check her out and maybe yours will too!
Check her out, tell her I sent you, try to get a discount out of her. Hey, it could happen.
